Knowledge and Practice of Herbal Medicine on Oral Health among Dental Personnel in Malaysia

Objective: To investigate the association between knowledge and practice of medical herbs related to oral heath among staffs at School Dental Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted USM, on 100 lecturers, dental surgery assistants, nurses, administrative workers, technicians. set questionnaire used in this study. Descriptive statistics, chi-square correlation were analyze data. Results: The results showed that staff's herbal medicines 32.8%. This indicates they had a moderate level knowledge. Almost three-quarters employees (73%) practiced low (0-25%), while only 13.85% level. findings revealed there no significant relationship scores age or gender. results, from other hand, type occupations staff (P=0.04).
